I have a butt implant but my hip dips are bothering me makes my shape look weird especially when wearing tight dress. I was consulted to do 360 lipo/arms/thighs and transfer the fat on my hipdips. Im 5ft 110lbs early 40s, 2kids.I don’t feel I have enough fats to transfer but doctor said he is thinking of 1000-2000cc fat to take on lipo. Would this be enough to fill my hip dips? WHAT TO EXPECT REALITISTICALLY? thank you.
Answer: BBL candidate Dear xxkeiko, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: 5ft, 110lbs, would 1000-2000cc be enough to fill hip dips? Great question and nice front views of posted photos, where are back/butt views & side views?? You are classified as a "SKINNY BBL" Your BMI is under 22! So you have limited donor fat to transfer, maybe just 1 liter or 500 cc's per side! I offer in cases like your my "COMPOSITE SKINNY BBL". That is a combination of whatever amount of fat able to transfer with injections of Radeisse/Sculptra (either 10 vials or 20 vials). This gives you the better chances of attaining the butt/hip effect desired. Fees eirher $10,000 or $14,000. Best to virtual consult with...

Answer: Treating hip dips The easiest way to reduce hip dips is the first and foremost do quality liposuction from the top of the hip dip including love handles and waist. simply reducing the fat just above the deepest point of your hip dip will almost make them go away. You can see for yourself if you just press just above where the hip dip starts on the mirror the contour is now almost an ideal S-curve. I don’t think grafting just hip dips is going to require leaders of fat. The limiting factor is not how much fat do you have to graft but how much host tissue you have to support the graft. The amount of host tissue and how the fattest grafted is what determines how much of the fat survives. Deliver in consistent quality liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people believe. This includes plastic surgeons. Not all plastic surgeons aren’t necessarily all that talented at either Liposuction or fat transfer. You need to make absolutely sure your provider has the skill and experience to deliver quality consistent results. Do this by having multiple in person consultations. During each consultation ask each provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures for the procedure you’re interested in. For fat transfer you need to know exactly when the after pictures were taken. Early fat transfer results can look very impressive but do not at all represent final results. The grafted fat will shrink substantially overtime and the Final results will be drastically different than what you see a few weeks after surgery. After pictures should never be taken before 3 to 6 months at minimum. An experience provider should have an impressive collection of before and after pictures. In my opinion an experience provider should have no difficulty showing it at least 50 before and after pictures. Being shown a handful of sample pictures which must likely represent the best results of the providers career or or even early results before the fat has dissipated does not tell you what average results look like. This is why patients should serve as advocates for themselves by properly vetting plastic surgeons and this includes asking providers to open up their portfolio and show their entire collection of before and after pictures for the procedure you’re interested in. Ask the provider to show you examples of excellent outcomes, average outcomes and less than outcomes. Ask them what the revision rate is, how many patients and that up with a second procedure and ask to see what those results look like. You should have a very clear understanding of what revision policy your surgeon has. When it comes to reducing or eliminating hip dips Liposuction is half the game and fat transfer is the other half. It’s really important the provider understands how to do Liposuction in this area correctly or it’s unlikely you’ll get the results you were hoping for. Push to see as many pictures as possible and consult with lots of plastic surgeons. Avoid the temptation of having virtual consultations. Find the right plastic surgeon and everything falls into place. On their own providers will not necessarily open up and show you a variety of outcomes but are more likely to just show you the best results of their career. That is not with patients need to see. Patients need to see results representing average outcomes. Patients also need to see a full variety of outcomes from worst case scenario to best case scenario. You also need to know what is going to happen if you don’t like the results. Good luck, Mats Hagstrom MD
