My hair transplant looks like doll hair, can it be corrected? If so, how? (Photo)

Question

The opening coming out of the scalp is so large, they are spaced so far apart with many double and triple hairs coming out of some of the follicles. It's been 10 months (Nov. 2021), I've been micro needling and using essential oils. I really hate to get a corrective surgery because of the down time because I can't be home that long but it looks so bad in person. Would scalp micro-pigmentation make it look weird? It looks like bad hair plugs of the early 2000's.

Typically it can take one year to even 1.5 years to see the final results from a hair transplant surgery. so I would urge you to wait a bit longer to see what the final result looks like before stressing over it. and then see your hair transplant doctor to discuss what is the best next step if you are still not happy with the final result.

Hi Depta23, thank you for your question whether your "doll hair" transplantation can be corrected.  In regards to your pictures, if its any consolation, the "doll hair" transplantation of years past were much more severe and obvious than yours.  To correct this "doll hair" area revised, I would suggest camouflage with more hairs.  I would suggest the follicular unit extraction (FUE) method.  With this technique individual hairs are harvested and transplanted one hair at a time.  I would NOT suggest micro-pigmentation because it would look very strange, the tattoo dye fades over time, and tattooing can permanently damage the skin and make the skin unable to accept hair grafts in the future.
