Will Hair Grow Back After Lipoma Removal on the Back of the Head?

The lipoma is about an inch and half from my right ear, its a little bit smaller than a golf ball. After the surgery, will hair grow back around that area as I know I would have that area shaved beforehand.

I perform many intramuscular lipoma removals and have found them to be somewhat more arduous than subcutaneous lipomas.  Expect a 5 to 7 day recovery.

Lipomas are benign fatty tumors that occur under the skin and less commonly within the muscle. They are associated with mild discomfort and a lump underneath the skin. It is always best to talk to an expert plastic surgeon to determine whether the lipoma is possibly a cyst or a tumor or hernia....

Lipomas can not turn into cancer, however liposarcomas and other rare fatty tumors could potentially be present.  Lipomas are best removed by direct excision rather than liposuction.  Best Anil Shah
