Can I change the shape of my nose by pushing/holding it in a certain direction?

I have been pushing the tip of my nose upwards for a couple of days now, because the tip of my nose naturally goes down and i dont like how it looks, When i push it i just hold it up for a little and after that when i go take a look in a mirror i think i see some results of the tip going upwards/straight more, (Could just be in my head) But Could this really work?

That would be fantastic if we could push our noses into the form we like but unfortunately that does not work.  Your cartilage is well formed and has a strong memory.  The result you see is temporary because of fluid shift and will definitely come back to its original form.If you like the way it looks up then perhaps a rhinoplasty may be your best optionGood luck

Thank you for your question. Facial plastic surgery is the only permanent and effective remedy to improve the appearance and functionality of the nose. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.

Unfortunately manual manipulation of your nose does not lead to permanent results. If you taped the tip of your nose upward at bedtime, you may see an elevated tip appearance in the morning, but the results would be short lived. There are many external nasal devices that claim to reshape nasal appearances, and to my knowledge, none of these work. Thank you. Dr Joseph
