I want to remove a microblading tattoo will I be left with scarring? (Photos)

I wanna get laser tattoo removal of my microblading (black ink, and it’s not that dark.. it’s starting to fade) and want to know if it’ll cause any scar, also how many session will It take. I’m also planning to get microbladed again if the laser removal doesn’t cause any scar and so wanna know after how many days of laser removal should I go for re-microbladed.

In my practice we have over 45 lasers that we use to treat the skin, including pigment and tattoo removal. To help treat and remove unwanted pigment from microblading, you can use a Q-switched laser, Picoway or PicoSure, combined with a fractionated CO2 laser in combination. This treatment will provide you with excellent results. We have seen many of these patients and have successfully removed this type of pigment in 3-4 sessions. I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist who has a variety of lasers and experience in laser tattoo removal.

it is possible to remove the ink from microblading with a laser that treats tattoos.  It may take several treatments depending on how thick the pigment is and what type of pigment was used.  The laser should not, if done properly, leave any scars.  There may be some scars as a result of the microblading.

Hello, thank you for the photo! Your microbladed eyebrows should not be difficult to remove. Often times in microbladed brows there is a mix of colors, so we need to removal the black first and if that is the only color then great you are done. If there is a mix it is usually black and an orange/red. The black will uncovered (or mostly uncovered) on your 1st and 2nd treatment, then the orange/red will show through and the laser needs to hit the orange/red next. Orange/red may turn gray upon the laser hitting it, then you can hit it like black ink. I have had great success with removing microbladed eyebrows with the PicoWay laser. Oh, by the way, no scarring if done correctly and no singing of eyebrow hair also if done correctly.

Thanks for your question and posting pictures. We have treated dozens and dozens. We usually remove them in 1-2 treatments. Get started early! Sometimes the eyebrows are TEMPORARILY burned off or changed to a FUNKY color. The laser used is not the correct wavelength for LHR. The laser should not stir up your Rosacea. Make sure you they are using a picosecond (PicoSure, Enlighten, PicoWay...) laser to minimize complications. I hope this helps.

Hello, thank you for your question and for including a photo.  The way a laser rids the skin of unwanted ink is, it shatters the ink into tiny particles and the body absorbs those particles.  The latest technology in laser tattoo removal is the pico-second technology.  The PicoWay Laser (Candela/Syneron) uses photoacoustic impact/pressure waves rather than photothermal/heat.  This process has less heat, therefore it is more comfortable and the chances of hyperpigmentation are less.  The Pico-second pulse shatters the ink into even smaller particles, allowing the body to more easily absorb the ink.  This type of device can usually remove unwanted ink in about half as many treatments as the traditional Q-switch device.It will definitely be multiple treatments to remove the unwanted ink, and there is 8 weeks between treatments, so it will be several months before you can have your eyebrows redone.  There should not be scarring from the tattoo removal.  You should definitely find a board certified dermatology office to perform these treatments for best/safest results.

A medically-trained provider with a picosecond laser will leave no scarring. Any scarring seen after removal would be from the microblading and probably minimal.
