Asked Dr. Blair for a treatment that would "make me look better, not younger." He recommended microneedling to reach goal. After 3 treatments and 9 months I definitely see a firmer area around the mouth and chin area the region I was most concerned about. I have not seen any new wrinkles and friends have been saying, "you look good. Aquaintances such as fellow workers, friends of friends are surprised when I tell them my age. Microneedling breaks down collagen so it will redevelop.
I have had Mohs Surgery twice, once on each ear. This one went much quicker than the one I had at another facility. The wait time for results was much less. I would have it done there again. The staff was very helpful. I have gotten my pathology results on other skin lesions very promptly. Other services were not pushed.
Paradise Valley Dermatology uses one of the best, high-quality lasers in the industry to remove tattoos. The staff uses numbing cream before the procedure, which helps the experience, and I barely noticed any pain. I used groupons before Paradise Valley - big mistake. Go to the professionals with the best laser because your body/skin is extremely important. My tattoo was dark black and was from shoulder to shoulder from high-school. Now, I can't even tell there was a tattoo and feel so much better about my body/skin. As a healthcare clinician myself, I highly recommend Paradise Valley Dermatology!
I turned to PV Dermatology after seeing another Dermatologist that wanted to do a costly procedure. Dr. Blair suggested doing a laser treatment, which was 100 percent effective and 1/10 of the cost the other Dermatologist was trying to charge. I appreciate all that Dr. Blair and his staff did for me.
Botox provides a quick, painless refresh! I have had only positive results with this product. The results last approximately 6 months for me personally. Pain is minimal, feels like slight pricking sensation. The look is very natural is you have an experienced Dermatologist performing the procedure.
I have melanoma and Dr. Blair has taken care of it with no scarring. Also opted for Botox and fillers; people think I'm 20 years younger than my actual age. Dr. Blair and his staff are wonderful. I will continue to see Dr. Blair for preventative needs and also cosmetic enhancements as long as possible.
Paradise Valley Dermatolgy is amazing! They use the new Pico machine for tattoo removal and my tattoo is almost gone just after a few visits. I have also had chemical peels and an IPL photo facial there as well. My face had so many brown spots and Kathy had my skin looking radiant and no brown spots in no time. Dr Blair and Kathy are the best and I would strongly recommend them to anyone.
After reading hundreds of reviews online, I finally decided to try CoolSculpting on my lower abdomen today. I had two sessions of one hour each done, one on each side of my belly button. Just for reference, I am 5'8", 160lbs - athletic build, workout regularly, have one child, and just need to get rid of the pooch. Overall, the experience was pretty good. Upon applying the machine to my stomach, there was an initial uncomfortable pulling/tingling period for just under ten minutes. After that, I really didn't feel anything - no cold, just numb. It is now 8 hours later, and I still don't feel much. I have had a slight tingling on/off, and my stomach feels slightly sunburned if something rubs up against it. If I poke at the area with my finger, it feels tingly and slightly numb still. I will continue to update as things progress....so far I will say it was Worth It.
Hello, thank you for your question. The side effects of laser hair removal should be minimal. A common reaction after the treatment is perifollicular Edema (Redness around hair follicles), this should only last an hour or two, but sometimes can last a bit longer. The important thing to be considered when performing LHR is the patients skin type (color: light to dark, Skin type I-VI) If the proper laser wavelength is used, there should be no complications. In our facility, our device has 2 different wavelengths, Alex 755nm and YAG 1064nm wavelengths. With both of these wavelengths available treatment of all skin types should be safe and effective. It is in the hands of the provider to assess the skin type and treat accordingly. Good Luck!
Hello, thank you for your question. Pricing may vary from market to market slightly, but just about everyone offers discount pricing on multiple applications. 1-2 applications would be more expensive per application then say 6-8 applications. It is best to schedule a consultation so that it can be determined how many applications you will need to get the desired results. A single application will reduce the fat cells in the treated area by 20-25%. This is not a huge reduction, many times it is necessary to come back and re-treat the same area to get a higher percentage of fat reduction. Good Luck!
Hello, Thank you for your question. Ultherapy is the only FDA approved device for tightening of the skin on the face and décolleté'. The other device you may have been offered, probably does not go as deep as the Ultherapy device, but keep in mind, with the Ultherapy device many do not "topically numb" with cream anyway because the energy bypasses the surface and is delivered deep in the tissue. Be careful to choose a experienced provider and device that is FDA approved. Thanks!
Hello, thank you for your question. Here in our practice we treat our patients for skin tightening/lifting with Ultherapy. Ultherapy is not a laser, it is Ultrasound energy. As the only FDA-cleared, non-invasive procedure that lifts the neck, chin and brow, and improves lines and wrinkles on the upper chest (decolletage), Ultherapy goes deeper to stimulate production of your body's own collagen and elastin. The other thing that is amazing about the procedure is that there is NO downtime! You can learn more about this technology by clicking on the link below. Good Luck!
Hello, Thank you for your question. The laser tattoo removal process is a long process. I pretty much tell our patients that it will take at least a year to rid the skin of ink. The laser is shattering the ink into tiny particles that the body can absorb. The body takes time to process and remove these ink particles. At our clinic, we use the Candela PicoWay laser. The PicoWay Laser uses photoacoustic impact/pressure waves rather than photothermal/heat. This process has less heat, therefore it is more comfortable and the chances of hyperpigmentation are less. The Pico-second pulse shatters the ink into even smaller particles, allowing the body to more easily absorb the ink. This type of device can remove unwanted ink in about half as many treatments as the traditional Q-switch devices. Because it takes the body time to scavenge the ink, we only treat our patients once every 8 weeks or longer. Usually, the longer you can wait between treatments, you will need fewer treatments over all. You can learn more about this device by clicking on the link below. Good Luck!
