I had a breast reduction about two months ago. All is good however, I've noticed a lot of fine black hair growing on breast. Particularly around my nipples and incisions. I never had hair on my breast before. Is this normal?

Answer: Inflammation in the periareolar region may prompt some temporary vigorous hair growth after breast reduction.
The issue is that due to your weight, your BMI is high. And patients with a high BMI are much more likely to encounter complications from surgery. If you can't lose the weight with a plan like Weight Watchers, perhaps consider bariatric surgery. Sorry for your frustration. Best, Dr. Nazarian

My recommendation is to give it time. Surgery and anesthesia can make you tired and affect your appetite and GI tract for a few days. It should return to normal in time. All the best
