Fat transfer to hips. Is it possible that one hip will be significantly bigger than the other?

Fat grafting can be done in individual areas to get more improvement and yes if one hip is larger than the other fat can be grafted to give improvement.  I suggest seeing an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  Fat transfer to the hips can be very effective in the right patient.  Usually there is some slight degree of asymmetry at first but this is usually due to swelling which goes away with time.   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most
important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend
that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who
can evaluate you in person.

shellenkayla.  I appreciate your concern, and the issue with fat grafting to the hips, or anywhere else for that matter, is how much that will take or stay after being grafted. Sometimes one side has a better take than the other. This can lead to modest  asymmetry, but this is easily treated with minor revisions. Be certain to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. in my experience hips are nearly all asymmetric, there is a lower side and  higher side Have someone take pictures on your phone and see f that's the case for you. Many people don't notice this until they have an operation and stare at themselves.
