I had bad lip filler removed - however there were a few small bumps under the upper lip. I went elsewhere to have the upper refilled (left the bottom as is was) 1 full syringe of some sort upper Restylane was used. It is obvious that it’s overfilled at the top center so the top lip is bumpy but it also flips up really high when I smile the sides of the lip down. It appears that the overfilling may have caused migration, lips turned way down. Upper flips to open and flat with bumps. Help!
Answer: Lip filler correction In this case it is best to either dissolve the filler entirely or let it dissolve with time. After a few weeks once everything has settled you may pursue lip filler again.

Answer: Lip filler migration Hi @Thoughtful720107! I am sorry you are dealing with this. Unfortunately, this appears to be lip filler migration. I recommend dissolving your lips with Hylenex and starting with a fresh canvas. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Bad lip filler Hello, Thank you for your question. The first thing I would recommend is dissolving all of the filler and starting over. The migration will dissolve along with the bumps. After 2 weeks, you and your injector can decide which filler best meets your needs. A neuromodulator will help with the downturned corners of your mouth and can also help with the upper lip by relaxing the contraction of the muscle that surrounds your mouth and pulls the upper lip under, making your upper a little more full. This will help in the interim between dissolving and your new lip filler. I hope this helps! It is very important that you find an injector you can trust and maintain a relationship with, in order to get your best results. Good luck with your journey!

Answer: Swelling & Lumps after Lip Augmentation with Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella) There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1 to 2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 minutes at a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Lip Filler Hi there! If you feel the lips are overinflated and bumpy, an option would be to use hyaluronidase to dissolve the filler. This enzyme breaks down the filler. This can be performed in small amounts with massaging at home after. It often works well if used carefully. That may be a good starting point. If the lumps are hard like nodules, steroid injections could work. I would visit with an injector who can help evaluate what may be the best option. Hope this helps!
