After many telling me I had more than 0.5mL months after injection, I asked the injector and she then informed me that she injected one entire syringe of Versa rather than the 0.5mL of Juvederm that I had asked for repeatedly. Is there any agency or certification board I could report this to. Also my vermilion border on both top and bottom is stiff and the only areas to resist the dissolving process. Would this happen to be scarring? How can I determine if it is scarring?
Answer: Filing a complaint with the Kentucky board of nursing. Real self does not allow us or at least not me to include links to websites so I’ll walk you through the process. Look up the Kentucky board of nursing. I’m assuming the nurse is licensed by the state of Kentucky since that’s the state you have listed under your profile. on the menu tabs click consumer protection and then go to the part that says filing a complaint with KBN. The bureaucratic government process will then begin. It’s a little hard to answer your question with out having really good quality information. this would include all time frames including how long ago you had reversal enzymes injected. how much was injected and did they actually inject enzymes into the vermilion border? If they did and it’s been several weeks then most likely the fullness is inflammation and not scar tissue. There’s no reason why your body would form a lot of scar tissue from fillers and certainly it wouldn’t from the enzyme injections unless you had a hematoma which would’ve left you bruised for weeks. At this point I suggest you just give it lots of time and not try to do anything within the next year. I suggest you contact the office or you had your procedure and ask for copies of your complete medical record. That is what any investigation is going to focus on and will be a very important part of any investigation outcome. These investigations can take a long time. Sometimes several years. While it’s still fresh in your memory you should write down everything about the encounter you’ll remember and date that document. If you have copies of the medical record then you can find discrepancies. Government boards overseeing licensed individuals usually take complaints pretty seriously and when they find violations of rules they usually always apply action whether appropriate or not. Answer: Dissatisfaction with lip filler Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, I note what appears to be a normal recent injection site of a lip filler.Versa and Juvederm are different brands of hyaluronic acid, a normally occurring substance in your body. In our experience, the brand makes no significant difference in the result. Over a span of 6 months, the material will totally resorb. For the first week or so following injection, you may exhibit a "duckbill" lip appearance associated with a degree of lip firmness. This will abate over time. It's not scarring. If still dissatisfied, one can accelerate resorption with injections of hyaluronidase solution. Usually an operative permit is required even for relatively simple procedures. The name of the product to be injected (which would be signed by you) should be in your record....just a phone call away.Best wishes...
