3 weeks post op, I wear foam between my garment on my abs under my zipper. Will I get uneven results on my abs?

Compression garments are important following surgery to help reduce post-operative swelling.  I typically have my patients transition from their surgical garment into a spanks or panty girdle the day after a liposuction procedure and have them continue to use the foam for three to four more days.  Removing the foam at this point should not alter your results, however, I would confirm with your operating surgeon as to what they suggest as each surgeon has their own post-operative protocol.  Please keep in mind that swelling can persist for at least six months after surgery.  All the best.

Your compression garment will not alter your results. The garment helps with swelling.  The extra foam at this point is just for your comfort.  I usually have my patients wear a compression garment for 6 weeks.  After the first 2 weeks I usually transition from the compression garment to a pair of spanx that cover the liposuctioned area.  It can take up to 6 months for all the swelling to go down and see your final results.
