its the reason(I was told) that I i can't be a male model anymore. Id like to know whether my clenching has caused it because if thats the case then I'd rather try stop clenching then having botox, but how can I tell if its genetics or because of my clenching. My masseters aren't hypertrophied and this is not something Ive always had (I think). Ive asked multiple dentists/doctors who cant answer any of my questions. I'd really appreciate an answer.
Answer: Temporalis muscle hypertrophy and Botox Your forehead looks fine based on your photos. I do not think the temporalis muscle is hypertrophied although it would be helpful to examine you in person. In some patients, the temporalis muscle is hypertrophied. This is usually associated with masseter hypertrophy caused by clenching or grinding of the teeth. If the muscle were enlarged, it could be treated with Botox/Dysport however I do not believe this is your case.

Answer: Your Forhead As others have mentioned, your forehead shape is fine, at least from the pics, that you'd sent. What stands out more is your uneven skin tone from acne. I would take care of that in order for it to look even and smooth.

Answer: Temporal hypertrophy I do not detect any significant temporal muscle hypertrophy on your pictures. The temporalis muscles are on the side of your head behind your eyes, not on your forehead. If you do have significant temporal muscle hypertrophy, Botox could easily shrink it after 2-3 visits. I recommend you see an experienced aesthetic physician to determine what is actually causing your concerns.

Answer: Temporalis muscle hypertrophy Although it is difficult to assess your temporals muscle from the photos, the temporals muscle hypertrophy is known to occur, mostly in association with hypertrophy of the masters. This happens frequently in anxious individuals who clench their teeth excessively or in those who habitually chew gum several hours a day. Since temporals muscle is one of the muscles participating in chewing it's prolonged forceful use may results in hypertrophy. Very seldom you will find reports of isolated hypertrophy of temporals muscles without masseter muscles involvement. If you clench your teeth excessively than reducing it should lead to slow involution of the muscles; Botox in the masseter muscles, rather than in temporals muscle could certainly assist in this process. The best advice can be obtained from your Plastic Surgeon. Good luck!
