Or both. It began since high school, when I saw my side profile the first time, in a video performing a theather performance. The only thing I saw was my nose and how long it was. I feel like my nose is too long and my chin is weak. Even if my nose is straight I would like to reduce it. Also I think I have an overbite, and maybe it affect my jawline. I never had braces so maybe it's one of the problems. Do you think I need a nose job, a chin implant or both? Thanks a lot for your answers.
Answer: Should you get a chin implant? Without an exam your question cannot be answered. You will need to see an Oral/Maxillofacial surgeon to see if othognathic surgery, genioplasty or using an implant is best for your specific case. It should be noted that patients with severely weak jaws or abnormally functioning jaws may be better treated with other facial surgery (orthognathic surgery), although a chin augmentation may be an option at a later time. These patients should seek the advice of a plastic surgeon to determine which course is right for them. Here is some information to help you make this decision: Candidates for Chin Augmentation - Patients whose chin profiles are weak but have normally functioning jaws are candidates for Chin Augmentation. Many of these candidates have used injectable fillers in the past to strengthen the protrusion of their chins, but are looking for a permanent solution. If you are one of these patients, then you are a likely candidate for chin augmentation #weakchin #chinimplant

Answer: Should I Get a Chin Implant or a Nose Job? Fix Chin First for Stronger Profile Your overbite is slight, but you can talk to an orthodontist about correcting it. In my opinion, you have a nicely formed nose that balances well with your face; I wouldn't change it. However, your chin is weak and can be strengthened with a chin implant. This will make your jawline and profile much stronger. I believe that once this procedure has been done, you will be much happier with your profile and your nose. I hope this helps.

Answer: Nose job and chin implant combination to help the side profile A rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish decreasing the overall projection of the nose, shaving down dorsal hump narrowing the bridge line in the tip. Consider a chin implant augment the chin forward to help with facial balance and proportions, especially the side profile with respectful to the nose

Answer: 25 y/o, really self conscious about my side profile, should I get a chin implant or a nose job? Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures, including Chin Augmentation with dermal fillers or silastic chin implants, for over 30 years. From the photos, your chin and mandibular angles are weak as are the cheeks. The nose on profile appears to be aesthetically appropriate and does not appear to need refinement through a Rhinoplasty (a non smiling front photo might however reveal a wide bridge or nasal tip that would change matters). Following the facial beauty principles that I've developed over 3 decades, men look chiseled and handsome with angularity in the cheeks, chin and mandibular angles. The following procedures would create a more ruggedly handsome face. Cheek augmentation with cheek implants to add angularity to the cheeks and mid face. Liposuction can be combined to reduce any excess fat to further shape the cheeks and face. Chin augmentation, using a chin implant, to add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face. When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy, the lower face looks short, de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a "double chin". Proper placement of a silastic chin implant adds forward projection to the chin thereby creating harmony and balance to the lower face. Using the same incision, liposuction can be performed to reduce the fat and further shape the neck. Excess skin, from below the chin, can also be removed through the same incision. I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty (requires extensive tissue dissection, bone cuts and placement of metal screws and plates to secure the cut segments of bone). I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone. In my opinion, you are a good candidate for chin implant surgery. Augmentation of the mandibular angles using a dermal filler (jaw implants have too many unwanted side effects IMHO) to add volume, angularity and flare to the jaw line. Hope this helps
