Is either my chin or maxilla receded? Everyone always asks me if I'm tired or high, and I read that droopiness of the face can occur because of a receded lower part of face. If I do, how can this be corrected? The pics are of the right and left sides of my face.

Answer: Face From a facial proportions standpoint, your chin is recessive, your nose is a bit long and your midface/cheeks flat. In essence you are correct on both counts (receding chin and maxilla) Whether that combination is what makes your appearance look like those comments I can not say. But from changing your facial proportions, chin and midface augmentations would be beneficial.

Answer: Do I have a receding chin or maxilla? From the limited photographs side profile, it appears that there is a weak and recessive chin profile for which a chin implant can improve. A full set of facial photographs required to make a determination about a deficient maxilla. Chin implants are placed for patients to have a weak and recessive chin profile, and a usually inserted through a small incision underneath the chin under local anesthesia. Cheek implants are placed under general anesthesia through a small incision above the gumline through an intraoral approach. Both chin and cheek implants are composed of solid silicone, and can be custom carved when necessary to match patient's unique anatomy. For diagrams of the implants, and many before and after examples of chin/cheek implants, please see the link and video below
