What's the best shape of chin implant for me to get? (photos)

I made my decision to have a chin implant but I dont know witch type is suitable for my face(Mittelman Pre Jowl Chin or Conform Extended Anatomical Chin) .my concern is the balance of my face shape, that is very important for me. I like my smile ,but not my profile!!!! .? My face photos are attached. Thank you

Without an exam your question cannot be answered.  You will need to see an Oral/Maxillofacial surgeon to see if othognathic surgery, genioplasty or using an implant is best for your specific case. It should be noted that patients with severely weak jaws or abnormally functioning jaws may be better treated with other facial surgery (orthognathic surgery), although a chin augmentation may be an option at a later time. These patients should seek the advice of a plastic surgeon to determine which course is right for them. Here is some information to help you make this decision: Candidates for Chin Augmentation - Patients whose chin profiles are weak but have normally functioning jaws are candidates for Chin Augmentation. Many of these candidates have used injectable fillers in the past to strengthen the protrusion of their chins, but are looking for a permanent solution. If you are one of these patients, then you are a likely candidate for chin augmentation

I believe you have a moderately receding lower jaw with 'high angle'. Have you considered jaw surgery to improve the profile? If not sliding genioplasty is an excellent option as well.

With your very short chin, a sliding genioplasty has multiple advantages over a chin implant. But if you are committed to the concept of a chin implant you will need to be very cautious that any implant that provides substantial horizontal advancement does not make your chin too wide. This is a common chin implant problem in women.

The size and shape of the  chin implant is usually determined at time of consultation and examination, since both implant and the mandible or 3-dimensional structures.  The size of the implant matters much more significantly than the shape.  Chin implants are usually placed under local anesthesia as an outpatient surgical procedure.In our practice, we have used Implantech solid silicone chin implant for 25 years with excellent success rate.  For more information about  chin implants and many before and after examples, please see the link and the video below

You have to be cautious with your growth pattern since your lips are strained to close in your picture. So the tension on any implant could force the implant towards the underlying bone. As well the fold under the lip could deepen and be somewhat unnatural. Consult about a genioplasty option for comparison in your case. That would also maintain a petite shape to the width of the chin

Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures, including Chin Augmentation with dermal fillers or silastic chin implants, for over 30 years.  From the photos, your chin is extremely weak and requires significant forward projection.  When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy, the lower face looks short, de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a "double chin".  
 Proper placement of a silastic chin implant adds forward projection to the chin thereby creating harmony and balance to the lower face.  Using the same incision, liposuction can be performed to reduce the fat and further shape the neck.  Excess skin, from below the chin, can also be removed through the same incision.  
 I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty (requires extensive tissue dissection, bone cuts and placement of metal screws and plates to secure the cut segments of bone).  I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone.  In my opinion, you are a good candidate for chin implant surgery.  In cases for women with chins such as yours, I use EAC size Medium silastic chin implants.
