I made my decision to have a chin implant but I dont know witch type is suitable for my face(Mittelman Pre Jowl Chin or Conform Extended Anatomical Chin) .my concern is the balance of my face shape, that is very important for me. Answer: Chin vs. jaw I believe you have a moderately receding lower jaw with 'high angle'. Have you considered jaw surgery to improve the profile? If not sliding genioplasty is an excellent option as well.

But if you are committed to the concept of a chin implant you will need to be very cautious that any implant that provides substantial horizontal advancement does not make your chin too wide. This is a common chin implant problem in women.

Chin implants are usually placed under local anesthesia as an outpatient surgical procedure.In our practice, we have used Implantech solid silicone chin implant for 25 years with excellent success rate. So the tension on any implant could force the implant towards the underlying bone. As well the fold under the lip could deepen and be somewhat unnatural. Consult about a genioplasty option for comparison in your case. That would also maintain a petite shape to the width of the chin
