I am 4wks post op from a grade 4 capsulectomy and ruptured silicone implant. I had reconstructive surgery 7 yrs ago. I still have a JP drain in my left chest wall that is draining at a rate of 35-60ml in a 24hr period, all yellow fluid with some tissue 'strings' or pieces. Is this normal? How long is too long for the fluid and JP drain to remain? I can also feel fluid in my chest when I bend over, feeling like plastic wrap crunching. How do I speed up getting rid of this fluid? more bedrest?
