Hi. Im 22 year old male, physically very active and in great shape. I took finastride (0.625mg/daily) for a week and then stopped due to paranoia about side effects, especially gyno. I have never Had It, so I dont really know what early symptoms to look out for. I was wary of possibility of gyno when I took finasteide, and the first days I thought my chest felt cold sometimes, but I when I felt them they did not seem to be tense or hurting. What are the very early signs of gyno?

Answer: Signs of gynecomastia Hi AmIParanoid, excellent question. There's no real early signs to look for. You've already stop taking the medication, so there's nothing preventive to do at this point. I time to consult with a doctor is if you do start developing breast tissue.

Answer: Make Breast feminization There are no specific early signs of gynecomastia. All people have breast tissue men and women. And some men the breast tissue develops more than in others. Most idiopathic gynecomastia is related to overly sensitive hormone receptors in the glandular tissue with normal hormone levels in the body. It can happen from the use of hormones and pre-hormones. Testosterone blockers are not nearly as much of a problem as drugs and medication‘s that can convert to estrogen. Simply blocking testosterone typically does not cause gynecomastia. The condition if drug related is usually due to an increase in estrogen from excessive testosterone or pre-to start drown being converted to estrogen which can and should be blocked using aromatase inhibitors for individuals who are at risk using anabolic steroids. Fullness in the Male chest can be caused by excess glandular tissue, increased subcutaneous fat and skin laxity. I Male chest typically gets more feminized with age. It can also lose its masculine appearance due to obesity and especially weight fluctuations. True gynecomastia is best assessed by simply palpating the glandular tissue or try examining the glandular tissue with both the skin and pectoralis muscles put under tension by taking one arm at a time and stretching it behind your head. With one arm stretched behind your head you can easily see the contour an outline of the glandular tissue. Based on what you describe it’s highly unlikely you have gynecomastia. If you’re concerned about the way your chest looks then avoid using body enhancing supplements and discuss the use of finasteride with the prescribing physician. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
