Cellfina/Cellulite Treatment/Ultherapy/Thermi RF/Body Contouring/ Hi Definition Procedures
Thank you for your question.
Cellfina is an FDA approved minimally invasive procedure that reduces the appearance of cellulite for at least two years on the buttocks and back of the thighs of women.
It works by releasing the internal bands that cause the cellulite dimpling and so we have not seen any fat atrophy. You should not see much of a difference with weight gain or loss but this also has not been studied.
Other areas of the body with dimpling, it is important to make sure it is truly cellulite before treatment.
It is common to have swelling bruising and firmness after the procedure. This can last for a few weeks.
It is different than Cellulaze which is a laser.
If you have had previous poor results with cellulaze, you can still do Cellfina.
Cellfina has shown 100% noticeable improvement and 96% satisfaction in all patients at 2 years.
Cellfina is designed to be a one time procedure.
It can be used on women with all skin types but caution should be taken if theres a history of keloiding.
It can also be combined with other treatments such as Thermi or
Ulthera if skin tightening is needed.
We have done Sculpsure and Coolsculpting if fat reduction is wanted, but its best to wait 3 months to see the results before proceeding.
It can also be done at the same time as other procedures such as liposuction and BBL or as a stand alone procedure in the office.
Since Cellfina outcomes can be based on technique and experience, please see a board certified plastic surgeon that specializes body contouring to see if Cellfina or other treatments are available to meet your goals.

Cellfina Larchmont Village
Hello and thank you for the question.Cellfina has no role in improving stretch marks. The presence of stretch marks in the skin signifies a pre-existent scar of the skin at the dermal level. This is best treated with a series combination treatment of micro needling with PRP ( platelet rich plasma ) with alternate treatments of Fraxel laser. Warmest Regards,Glenn Vallecillos, MD, FACS
Cellfina and Stretch marks
Unfortunately no. Cellfina is a minimally invasive procedure in which the fibrous septae that are woven throughout the fat in the thighs and buttocks are severed. Similar to a rubber band under tension, once released, the treated skin bounces back to smooth itself out. This will have no effect on stretchmarks. Depending on the age of the stretch mark, a good treatment is Micro needling and or and ablative laser treatment.
Best of luck to you, and be well.#cellulite #stretchmarks #cellfina
Cellfina does not help stretch marks
No, unfortunately Cellfina
is only for cellulite dimples on the thighs and buttocks. Stretch marks are a
completely different condition with a different underlying root cause, and as
such Cellfina will not have an effect on them. Other treatments such as a non-ablative laser such as ResurFX or microneedling may help to reduce the appearance of your stretch
marks. Please see a board-certified dermatologist for an evaluation to come up
with the best treatment plan for your concerns.
Cellulite VS Stretch Marks
Cellfina is a minimally invasive procedure clinically approved
to treat the appearance of cellulite. The procedure should be done by a properly
trained Plastic Surgeon or qualified provider. The procedure targets the
structural problems that cause cellulite. There are fibrous bands under the
dimpled areas that are pulling the skin inwards, causing the dimpled appearance.
By releasing them, you will see improved appearance after just one treatment.
The procedure takes 1-2 hours, and is extremely safe. You will see improvements
after just 3 days. Cellfina is the ONLY FDA approved procedure for Cellulite
correction that now goes out to 3 years! We have also been combining Cellfina
with our V-shape and Viora Reaction devices to improve cellulite in a more
comprehensive fashion. The RF treatments correct most of the non-ligamentous
contour irregularities not treated by Cellfina and they are very well
tolerated, painless procedures. There
have been no indications for treating stretch marks with this device.
Cellfina not for stretch marks
Unfortunately, Cellfina is not an effective treatment for stretch marks. Cellfina is an excellent treatment for cellulite and works by severing the fibrous bands that result in the dimpled and puckered appearance of cellulite. This would, unfortunately, have no effect on the appearance of stretch marks.
Stretch marks are very difficult to address and treatments vary based upon the appearance of the stretch mark (whether they are red, raised, white, etc). I would consult with a plastic surgeon who offers multiple treatment modalities to determine the best solution to meet your needs. Best of luck!
Can Cellfina also help with stretch marks?
Cellfina will not treat stretch marks--it treats only the dimples of Cellulite but does that very well. Some success with stretch marks can be obtained with other modalities such as microneedling or laser.
Cellfina will not treat stretch marks.
Stretch marks are hard to treat but there options depending on the stage of the mark.
New red stretch marks may be treated with a laser that focus on the erythema to prevent the scar from worsening.
Older white stretch marks may be treated with microneedling or with an ablative procedure such as Fractora, but will likely require several treatments.
Cellfian and stretch marks
Cellfina works very well to treat cellulite. It cuts the fibrous bands that cause the skin to dimple. Stretch marks are caused by irreparable stretching of the skin that cannot be repaired. Some treatments may improve the appearance of stretch marks, but nothing will eradicate them except cutting them out with excisional procedures like a tummy tuck. Hopefully some day there be non-invasive procedures that will effectively treat stretch marks like Cellfina treats cellulite. I hope this helps to answer your question.
