The collagen you take orally does not go to the skin as collagen.   however some studies have shown that once digested the components may help with your natural collagen production.   But don’t expect huge changes with this.  Best is to follow a good diet daily.  Your doctor will usually have some topical preparation for post laser to help with healing. 

Oral collagen supplements should not hurt you but probably will not help much either.  To enhance your results I would recommend topical PRP once the channels are created with your treatment to stimulate collagen and blood flow which will also hasten healing of the injury created.
