I’ve had BBL on my legs 3 times for spots and have not seen any results. I’m Fitzpatrick 3, the spots seem to be combination of brown and red. I have mild Grover’s disease and some of the spots could be post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Thank you. Also how do I find an laser doctor/nurse that is an expert ?
Answer: Clear and brilliant for brown spots Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Treatment for Brown Spots on the Legs Hello YB. It looks like you have a number of things going on here. It appears you may have some sun spots or freckles and also some congenital moles. Freckles or sun spots most often appear as a result of sun exposure, whereas the congenital moles (small, dark spots) often appear naturally (genetics), with no connection to sun exposure. We use q-switched lasers for freckles and sun damage and we use the same laser or a hyfrecator (cauterization) for the congenital moles. It's difficult to see the redness you are speaking about but vascular lasers include a KTP (532) and Pulsed dye (585). IPL can also be used for redness (maybe differently than you have experienced).

Answer: Broken Capillaries/Redness - Vascular Lasers (Yellow, Excel V, VBeam, Aerolase, Venus Versa IPL) + Clear+Brilliant, Venus Viva Thank you for your question, The best treatments for capillary issues are vascular lasers such as pulsed dye laser, Excel V, Aerolase, Venus Versa IPL, Laser Genesis or Yellow laser. The settings are determined on a per case basis, so it is best to consult with an expert to determine what will work best for you. We often combine vascular lasers with non-ablative fractional lasers such as Clear + Brilliant or Venus Viva for better results. I would suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Brown/red spots You would need an in office consultation to determine what the best options are for you. From your photos it would appear that IPL or laser that addresses brown/red should treat these spots. Oftentimes combination treatments are helpful. Combining peels with prescriptive products and microneedling may improve results. In our office we use a pico laser for treating pigment with very good results.
