The scar is raised, a little red, and tucked mostly in the naso-labial fold. It's the unfortunate remnant of a surgery that removed a small cyst—I'm wondering if the extra tension on the incision from smiling/talking/eating caused the scarring, so I'd love to avoid another surgery/excision. Thanks!

This is quite normal and correctable. You may want to use Melarase PM cream and Exfolase to reduce pigmentation followed by RF Fractional for your stretch marks.
