Hi everyone, I am 31 years olf female Asian with fair skin. I have old white strech marks on my abdomen. I have done some Fractional Laser on my tummy. Just want to ask is it normal to have Post Pigmentation after 1 session? I plan on doing then for 6 to 8 session every 4 weeks. My doctor's advise said that Post Pigmentation is normal after procedure. Just want to ask your opinion as other derm clinic I didn't experience this.

Fractional laser with CO2 has variable depth. Avoidance of sun and application of a sunscreen and skin lightener is a must. In our office, we use Spectrase SPF and Melarase AM and PM after fractional laser.

In my office, I use fractional laser on all skin types. Darker skin may be more prone to pigmentation so we begin patients on Melarase AM and Melarase PM before and after laser.

Of course fractional lasers cannot be a cure-all for all sun damage. They are an important part of a regimented approach to facial rejuvenation.
