I have a very assymmetrical face and a deviated septum and I would like to know what I can do. I want to keep my as it looks on my right (your left on the picture) and just straighten my nose, will most of this be covered by insurance?

Everyone has some degree of facial asymmetry,  and from the one Limited photograph it is within normal limits. A rhinoplasty is performed to straighten a crooked nose  and must be paid for by the patient, since it is cosmetic in nature. A septoplasty is performed  in the back of the nose for medical necessity when there is twisted bone and cartilage blocking air flow. A septoplasty will not change the shape of the nose. Both a rhinoplasty and a septoplasty can be performed together when needed.  For more information about the differences between 2 procedures, please see the video below

Facial asymmetry is universal and everyone has it. There are ways to lessen this including use of fillers, fat transfers and implants. Rhinoplasty can refine your nose as well as correct the septal deviation. Best

Dear thesteelanvil, You would most likely be a candidate to have a septorhinoplasty. This is a combined procedure which will address both function and aesthetics. I would suggest seeking consultation with some experts in the field and have imaging performed to show you the proposed results and review the surgeons before and after photographs to ensure natural looking male rhinoplasty results. After an examination and if it is determined you have a deviated septum then your insurance can be contacted regarding the portion of payment they would make depending on your benefits and then a fee would be quoted.
