I'd like to get some filler in my tear troughs, cheeks and lips. Is it better to wait until after a Septoplasty?

Is it better to wait until after the surgery? Or does it not matter? I'm getting a cat scan on my nose today. Does filler show up on a cat scan? I just don't want things to be different for when the dr sees the cat scan and if things would be different if I had filler after that. I don't want him going in and getting any surprises. Am I worrying for nothing? Also, if I get Botox before the surgery is there a timeline I should be considering?

Dear slygrin~Thank you for your question.  If you are having a straight septoplasty (without rhinoplasty), then having Botox or fillers should not have any impact upon your surgery.  If you are having any cosmetic changes done to the nose, it would be best not to have any fillers placed to the nose in the few weeks prior to surgery, as under-eye fillers can cause some local swelling or bruising that could affect the appearance of the nose.Best wishes,Amy Hsu

Botox and fillers can be performed before or after a septoplasty procedure, since these procedures are completely separate.
