I am looking into having my tear troughs done and enquired with a local practitioner. I was told the product they would use for this is Juvederm Volift. Am I right in thinking that this filler is a bit thick/heavy for tear troughs? Thanks
Answer: Fillers in tear trough The right filler is going to depend on things that require an in person evaluation. Volift or Vollure here in the States can work for certain patients although I generally use something lighter. If you haven't already, schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to be assessed and discuss. Best of luck.

Answer: Volbella or Belotero may work better for your tear troughs In my experience, Volift (Vollure in the US) is not an ideal choice for tear trough injections unless the patient has somewhat thicker tissues. The “lighter” hyaluronic acid products like Volbella and Belotero are more suitable for this purpose.

Answer: Volift for the Tear Troughs Thank you for your question. The choice of the best filler for a particular area depends on a variety of factors, including overall facial structure and anatomy, skin thickness, the extent of volume loss being corrected, and the depth of the injections. While I can't make specific recommendations without assessing you in-person, Juvederm Volift (marketed as Juvederm Vollure in the United States) is a very versatile product, and can be used in the tear troughs in selected patients. I particularly like it for correcting deeper volume loss in the tear troughs - I actually find that it's not very stiff and provides a very soft and natural finish. I would not recommend Vollure for correcting more superficial volume loss under the eyes - softer products like Volbella work much better here. The under eyes and tear troughs are among the most complex areas to treat with fillers, and require a great deal of expertise. I would recommend seeing a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon for your treatment. Best of luck!
