Hello, 39 years old on the Norwood scale of 5 or 6? Been using nanofibers up until the last two years no one could tell and I started using a hair replacement. I do a lot of stuff on film and don’t want it to show I am balding. Could a HT sort this with results that would be good enough not to show on camera. I have very thick hair round the sides but the top has totally thinned. Have spoken to some places and told i only need 3000 grafts but this to me does not appear enough. Any advice.

Answer: Hair Transplant for Norwood 5 or 6 Hair transplant surgery can be performed for Norwood 5 or 6. More advanced stages of baldness requires the use of body hair to supplement the donor graft pool. With severe baldness (Norwood 6-7), head hair alone should not be relied upon. Here is an example of a Norwood 6 patient from the Dr.U Hair Clinic who attempted to hair transplantation through strip surgery. His grafts did not grow and he was left with immense scarring. The use of body hair was necessary to repair his results and provide the full coverage he desired. Due to their sharper growth angles, body hair grafts must be extracted with specialized technology.

Answer: Class 6 It sounds as if you have a good donor supply however there is a lot of scalp to cover.I think that with several procedures you can achieve significant coverage but for the purposes of high def imaging you will probably still want to use some fibers(albeit way less than you use now).
