Persistent blocking in nostrils after septoplasty - what could this be and how can it be corrected? (photo)

I had septoplasty and turbinate reduction. Since surgery, I have persistent blockage in one of my nostrils. It looks like a lump from the septum. Other nostril is clear. I have been back to my own surgeon and he has confirmed that there is no more swelling in the nose and the septum looks straight. So, what is this bump then, that is blocking my nose 24/7 Should I be seeking a second opinion or is this normal?

Answer: I believe it depends how long it's been since surgery.
That said, there are many reasons people can have persistent nasal obstruction after surgery. Additionally, a CAT scan is not necessary to determine what is causing somebody's nasal airway obstruction. At this point, consider consulting with a reputable rhinoplasty specialist so you can...
You would benefit from a rhinoplasty and septoplasty. The rhinoplasty will correct the dorsal hump and increase the angle of the nasal columella. Your nose is inclined to one side and the septoplasty will correct this as well as the medial crura.

Hi dear,
If there is no problem with the outside of your nose, of course the inside of your nose can be corrected with a separate surgery. There is no need to widen the tip of your nose for this.
