Scar too low on hips after tummy tuck - can it be redone? (photo)

Abdominoplasty scars can be quite complex, ranging from the simple hypertrophic scar to a multiplane inflamed keloid. Typically the ideal tummy tuck scar should be said very low in the pubic and groin area then follow upwards as it comes around the pelvis.

Raising the scar would be challenging and it probably wouldn’t come up that much. The amount of possible change depends on how much remaining skin laxity you have in this area and if you’re willing to except a longer scar.

It would most likely require extending the scar further onto the back a bit further.

Whether that is justified or not is something that is best discussed during in person consultations.
