Scar too low on hips after tummy tuck - can it be redone? (photo)

Question

I had the procedure down 2 years ago but I find when I where a normal bikini bottom or swimmers I have to have them more like hipsters which does nothing for my figure and the fashion is mid to very high. Can I have the scar revised and is it recommended.

Abdominoplasty scars can be quite complex, ranging from the simple hypertrophic scar to a multiplane inflamed keloid. Pigmentation, discoloration, chronic inflammation, scar visibility can all occur in the short term. We begin each treatment with combination therapy using Yellow broadband BBL, Vbeam, fractional erbium, intralesional IIT, and scar modulation. Start with a combination of Plato's Scar Serum massaged twice daily after one week of epithelialization followed by Luminase/Exfolase. Scar consultation and revision may be recommended.

Typically the ideal tummy tuck scar should be said very low in the pubic and groin area then follow upwards as it comes around the pelvis.

Raising  the scar would be challenging and it probably wouldn’t come up that much.  The amount of possible change depends on how much remaining skin laxity you have in this area and if you’re willing to except a longer scar.

It would most likely require extending the scar further onto the back a bit further.

Whether that is justified or not is something that is best discussed during in person consultations.
