My concern is that my transplanted hair falling out with crust after 3 week of my operation and some hair are banded. And my crust is still not removed. So is it normal ?? Will my hair regrown ??

Answer: It is normal to lose transplanted hairs weeks after surgery. It may take 6 to 12 months to see new hairs grow out. It is normal to lose transplanted hairs weeks after surgery. It may take 6 to 12 months to see new hairs grow out. After 2 to 3 weeks almost all your scabs should be gone. If you still have considerable scabbing contact your doctor for a better washing regimen.

The loss of transplanted hair after follicular unit transplantation is common and termed Telegen Effluvium. It usually occurs in the 2nd or 3rd month after surgery and can be concerning, but rest assured it is normal. It can also occur sooner as in your situation. You are still early in your recovery after your hair transplant, and sometimes the results take 6-8 months before you have an idea of how the surgery went. best of luck

İt is not surprising to lost approx. %70-80 of all transplanted hair shafts in first month when you are washing, gently rubbing or touching the head. İt is shock loss and not permanent. Even your native hair may affected with that post traumatic transient hair loss…New hair at transplant and donor area starts to grow at 3-4 th month after surgery .
