It sounds as though the bleaching trays did not work well for you. I would consider doing Zoom Whitening as an alternative. The results are typically much better than bleaching trays alone. This procedure is performed in the dental office and takes between 90-120 minutes. Hope this helps.

There are different products and different procedures for teeth whitening. If the take home trays did not work for you, your dentist should give you alternatives. Talk to you dentist and see what other products and procedures he uses that will bring them up to the shade you desire!
In-office whitening can be more effective than the trays you have already tried. You may be able to get better results, however with whitening there is no way of know how white your teeth are capable of getting.

Teeth whitening (bleaching) will only go so far on certain teeth. There is no way to predict how white the teeth will end up. However, in-office bleaching, such as ZOOM, usually results in whiter teeth than take home trays.
Bonding or veneers can be done without prepping (removing enamel) the teeth but that does add some bulk. You can also have the dentist increase the % of the bleaching solution. Sometimes etching the teeth before bleaching will give better results.
Assuming the trays still fit well, ask the dentist about stronger bleaching gell. If that is not an option, the most conservative way is veneers.

You will not do any harm by attempting to whiten your teeth. If you do not get the results that you are looking for by whitening, then you will need to consider placing an all ceramic crown on that tooth. This could be matched perfectly to the other teeth. Good luck.
