Kybella creates localized fat dissolution and does not migrate more than 1 centimeter from the injection site. Injections in your armpits will not affect your breast tissue.
To treat a double chin with Kybella, we use a template that has numerous openings for injections. This is because the deoxycholic acid in Kybella stays put and doesn’t migrate more than a centimeter or so at most from the injection site. Consulting a board-certified dermatologist will ensure that you are treated properly and safely.
Hello,Kybella stays pretty localized to where it is injected and therefore would not affect your breast volume when injected appropriately into your axilla region. Kybella is a safe, non-surgical treatment option for fat reduction. It is particularly beneficial for small areas of fat, such as under the chin or axilla. Our patients have experienced great improvements with the use of kybella for fat reduction. At my practice, our nurse practitioner, Grace, and registered nurse, Marty, both have a lot of experience with injecting kybella and they love this treatment option for patients! Hope this helps!
Hi,Kybella works locally and will not disperse to your breast tissue. This is an off label use for kybella but can be done, make sure you see an expert!
No, Kybella won't migrate and negatively impact your breast tissue. Kybella is good for dissolving fat under the chin, but a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with non-invasive options. I recommend Kybella with thermage, ultherapy, exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is an alternative for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question about Kybella. Kybella does not migrate outside of where is was injected. Occasionally it does take more than one treatment to achieve your goal. To be sure, see two or more experienced, licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.
Kybella will not migrate outside the area of treatment. It will only work precisely in the areas where it is placed.
Dear Leestar:This is an excellent question. When contemplating having treatment for fatty deposits above the bra top, it is important to review any history of breast disease, and to ensure that the patient has been following recommendations for routine mammograms and ultrasound of the breast. The typical dose for each injection point, 2/10 of a cc, does not diffuse more than 1 cm from the point of injection. When properly placed, Kybella will not migrate to your breast. You probably know that your breast tissue is a glandular tissue, which is not the same as adipose tissue, so should not be affected by Kybella, which is specific to fat cells only. All the best, Dr. Clark
The armpit fat (or bra fat, as it's sometimes called) can be a perfect place for Kybella to be injected! Kybella creates a very localized response and does not migrate more than about 1 cm from where it is injected. Therefore, your breast tissue will not be affected.Be sure that you are only receiving injections from a physician who specializes in aesthetic medicine.
Kybella is currently only FDA-approved for fat under the chin, so please make sure you discuss this with your plastic surgeon before your procedure. Depending on what you mean by armpit fat and how close you are getting to the breast, it should not affect breast tissue. It does not really migrate far, hence why injections are placed close together, but if you’re talking about underarm adipose tissue that is right up against breast tissue you need to be informed. Good luck!
While the majority of patients who come to me for this problem are better served by neck SmartLipo, your particular problem is minimal and tailor-made for Kybella. Expect 2-3 treatments for optimal results, but you're the rare candidate where Kybella will do the job well.
Deoxycholic acid, the active ingredient in Kybella, actually dissolves the cell walls of fat cells (only) immediately upon injection. This is the first stage of the response to treatment. The second stage is the inflammatory stage. Macrophages are called to the affected fat and engulf and ...
To be able to evaluate you, a physician would need side and front photos and see you in person moving. Also you need to be clearer about what you are describing as your chin size doubling -- the fat under the chin? the width of the chin? the distance from your chin to your ear? Finally, look...
