Unhappy with my smile and speech after genioplasty (jaw surgery) - can I have this fixed? (Photo)

Hello, I'm currently struggling with my Genioplasty. It's been 3 months and I still cant talk or smile properly and my lips are very small compared to what they used to be. I do believe there's something is wrong. The tightness has gone away. My smile (completely) and speech (partially) has been completely ruined. I want this fixed.

A reduction genioplasty is performed much less commonly than an advancement genioplasty. Often the reduction genioplasty involves the reduction of bone and soft tissue pad. Sometimes both procedures are performed simultaneously.

Your chin projection looks good, however, the length of your chin appears short and therefore gives you a deep mentolabial fold and and rounded appearance. I would recommend a CT scan to determine your chin height. A vertical lengthening genioplasty will likely give you the look that you want.
