During the process of an abdominoplasty, the muscles are tightened resulting in increased intra-abdominal pressure. Patients with loose abdominal muscles to begin with may experience some initial discomfort but this resolves over time as the body adjusts to the change in abdominal tension.
The suture end may continue to work its way to the surface before your next appointment. As long as it doesn't hurt or cause other issues it is fine to wait until your next appointment to get it addressed by your surgeon. If you have concerns contact your surgeon's office for a visit.
