I have gained about 20 pounds since the surgery and recently it seems as if it is getting bigger again, is tender at certain times, and feels like it is tugging / pulling quite frequently. My concern is that it is regrowth of tissue, not just skin, and I am scheduled to have a lift with implants at the end of December. Could this affect the surgery in any way if it is tissue regrown? My Ps said it is just loose skin but if that is the case why is it casing pain again?

Answer: Axillary breast tissue Breast tissue does not grow back. But if it was not all removed the first time, the remaining portion can certainly change with changing hormone levels. Make sure you are not pregnant. Ask your surgeon to remove the rest at the same time.

Answer: It's hard to know for sure. The history you are providing sounds more convincing for fat enlargement as a result of weight gain. If your PS thinks it is primarily skin, then I would trust her/his opinion. As stated, if returning to your previous weight is an option, then that weight loss should be accompanied by a reduction in the axillary fullness if it is excess fat. If it is simply loose skin, then it would likely appear to worsen with weight loss.Trust your the recommendation of your PS, or get another opinion, and just try to be patient.
