Fillers into the forehead are usuually placed on the periosteum. This can cause pressure and result in pain. I always warn my patients about this complication. Typically, when it occurs, it lasts a day and is relieved by ibuprofen. If the pain is shooting and not pressure, it might indicate a nerve got dinged during injection, but that would have caused a sharp, quick and usually transient pain during injection. If it persists, it could mean the nerve is damaged (temporarily) and require neurotin to relieve. Changes in vision are more disturbing and require immediate evaluation as soon as noticed.
Thank you for your question. The link could very possibly be the sensory nerves which transmit pain and a pressure sensation. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact my office at 614-436-8888 so that we can arrange to schedule you for a formal consultation.

Hi @honeyk15. No, this is not true. You can have dermal fillers as many times as necessary. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima
This is actually quite a difficult area to treat with satisfying results, and should only be attempted by experienced injectors, as there is a small risk of the filler being visible under the skin. The best place to start is along the vermillion border (the line along the lip and...
Hi @xidragon11. I recommend a combination treatment of dermal fillers and Morpheus 8. Morpheus 8 is a non-surgical treatment for full body skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and fat reduction of stubborn areas. It uses minimally invasive fractional radiofrequency energy (RF) to penetrate the...
