If IPL effects blood vessels, can it be a bad idea for a migraine sufferer to undergo IPL?

IPL can be used to treat the small little blood vessels on the face and it would not affect the migraines. We do provide laser protective wear and also can close your eyes to add additional protection to avoid stimulations that can trigger the migraines. 

You can have IPL if you suffer from migraines, however, it may trigger a headache. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist for treatment recommendations. I recommend adding microneedling/prp to improve outcomes. Best, Dr. Emer

The IPL treatment can take about 15 minutes to administer.  Extra gauze can be placed under your goggles but you should take any medications you have been given prior to treatment and not have it performed if you are having any symptoms.
