Wondering which methods should i approach to have my chin reduced from pointing so outward.

Answer: Chin Reduction The best approach for a pure horizontal chin reduction would be a submental approach. When reducing the chin projection you have to account for what the overlying soft tissue chin pad will do. An intraoral approach may leave that hanging whereas a submental approach removes and tightens soft tissue as well as reduces the bone. The other potential option is a vertical opening genioplasty done intramurally. You have a vertically short chin which is why it probably protrudes too much horizontally. By dropping down the front edge of the chin (vertical lengthening) through an intraoral osteotomy this will also reduce the amount of horizontal projection. You would need to see computer imaging to determine which aesthetic result would be best from the two different chin reduction approaches.
