Blepharoplasty vs Septoplasty- which to do first?

Question

I have already posted photos of my eyelids asking about the benefits of a Blephroplasty, which I would benefit from. My question is which should I worry about having first. My concern is not wanting to walk around with the Kenny Rogers look. Ideally I would like to have the Septoplasty first. Which should I have done and what type of physician is best for both procedures.

Hello, Thank you for your question and information, Both procedures; eye and nose surgery can be performed at the same before that a physical examination is required to make certain assessment.After having both procedures you need to rest very well,  as they are not easy surgeries, you will have edeme&swelling as a part of your healing. An exprienced, professional Surgeon will create the best result according to your faces harmony.Kindly Regards,

Thanks for the question.  I routinely do multiple procedures at the same setting, as this is often slightly less expensive -being “put to sleep once”, and in one week you are back to work.  Look for a facial plastic surgeon also trained in ENT, or a plastic surgeon who can also address your nasal airway.

Thank you for your questionI would recommend doing them at the same time if you can.  It is very safe to do nasal surgery at the same time as eyelid surgery.  This means you only have one anesthesia and one recovery.  You will have some swelling around the eyes as well as in the nose, but you can take one block of time afterwards to recover.  I would recommend going to a facial plastic surgeon.  This is a surgeon who trained in ENT and knows nose and sinus, but also trained in facial plastics.   We understand functional and cosmetic aspects of the nose and face. Best of luckDr Rodman

Both procedures can be performed simultaneously under one anesthesia which allows one recovery.. Look for a double board certified ENT/ facial plastic surgeon who can perform both  your functional septoplasty and cosmetic blepharoplasty simultaneously.  if you want to perform them separately, it doesn't matter which one goes first
