Hi Sunflower23, thank you for your question regarding a double butt crease after lipo, and will a Miami thong lift help? Thank you for your history and single photo. Let’s analyze your photo and history. Presumably, originally, you had excess fat from the infra-gluteal region, the upper posterior thigh, or the banana roll. You had the banana area liposuctioned. First, the banana roll skin is notorious for failing to recoil or contract. Second, the banana roll is also very commonly over-suctioned. Either way, you are now left with excess skin rolls of the banana roll. Now let's determine the best solution. First, you have excess skin, not fat; therefore, banana roll liposuction will make this area worse, not better. Second, your excess banana skin rolls are oriented in a horizontal vector. Therefore, your banana skin roll excision needs to be in a horizontal vector. Horizontal skin removal vectors on the buttock are placed low (in the infra-gluteal fold, under the buttock) or high (across the top of the buttock). For both these excisions, excess buttock and thigh skin and fat are pulled up and down or North and South. The incision across the top of the buttock is in the shape of a small letter "M” or seagull shape. However, the best incision for your excess skin in the banana roll would be an infra-gluteal fold excision. A Miami thong buttock is a vertical incision placed parallel the the buttock crease. Since the Miami thong lift is a vertical incision, and excess buttock skin is removed in a VERTICAL fashion. Thus, excess buttock and thigh skin and fat are pulled from right to left, or East to West. Since you have a horizontal skin defect, a vertical incision (like the Miami thong lift) will NOT help.
