Every doctor has different post op instructions so you should ask your surgeon what would work for you. The dressings vary from patient to patient. Some patients may be placed in a sports bra; others will wear a stabilizing elastic support strap. Your doctor will decide after surgery and in subsequent weeks, which dressing will suit your needs and how long you would need to wear them.

Thanks for your inquiry.  I suggest you ask your surgeon not only about getting out ogf the bra, but for how long and if you need to change bras.  We generally do not want you to wear a bra that is extremely uncomfortable.  Good luck.  

I get what you're saying. But don't underestimate the value of your post op instructions.  If your doctor cinched up your bra and told you to leave it on, he/she did it for a reason.  He may have felt there was too much implant travel to the sides.  Your surgeon is the only one that can give you that advice so better to be safe than sorry.  Call your doctor!

You should follow your own surgeon's protocol while you are recovering from surgery.  Every surgeon has his or her own way of doing things. 

Many surgeons do not place patients in bras after surgery. I use bras but often for comfort only.  Best to discuss with your surgeon.

 Congratulations on having undergone the breast augmentation procedure. Most likely, your plastic surgeon will okay loosening up the bra;  none of us want our patients to feel uncomfortable during the recovery phase.  However, best to run this question by him/her.  Best wishes.

Thank you for your question and photo. A result looks excellent. Her plastic surgeon has very good reasons to instruct you to wear the bra. It is very important that if you want to change the routine neurosurgeon recommended that she has to surgeon and not rely on Internet device. Doctors on the Internet have not had the benefit of examining you or understanding exactly what was done during her surgery. It is crucial that she folly her surgeon's advice because I'm sure he or she has good reasons to keep you tightly bound in the bra. This is most likely to assure that you have a properly positioned implant pocket for the best result.
