Desperately asking again: What can be done to painful scartissue inside labia minora? Scars are from labiaplasty surgery. What I should try? Surgery, steroids, prp, stemcelltherapy..? I have also much regret about surgery. What kind of therapy would help?
Answer: Painful scar tissue After seeing the condition of the scar tissue, it is decided what kind of procedure will be applied. If it is in a very large and bad place, a revision operation may be required.

Answer: Pain and scars after Labiaplasty The first thing that you should consider is to request a consultation with a cosmetic gynecologist or urogynecologist experienced in revision of the labia minor. They will need your operative report in order to determine what was done. You will be able to find help. It will just take persistent research.

Answer: Labiaplasty pain As the inventor and innovator of the wedge technique in 1994, I reconstruct many women who have had labia reductions by other surgeons, both wedge and trimming techniques. You probably had a trimming labiaplasty which resulted in your pain. Often the pain can be eliminated or markedly improved by excising the scar and replacing it with normal unscarred tissue. The reconstruction is much more difficult than a primary labiaplasty and should be done by a plastic surgeon with extensive experience in labia reconstruction. I published the first and most extensive paper on labia reconstruction in the prestigious journal "Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery" about ten years ago. You may need various reconstructive techniques to eliminate your pain and give you a good appearance. I may be able to use the skin from the sides of your clitoral hood to remove the scars and reconstruct labia minora. Approximately 40% of the surgeries I perform are revisions of other surgeons' labiaplasties. You only get one good chance for surgery to correct your problem so be careful. In addition, stem cells and PRP may be helpful in eliminating pain. Gary J. Alter, M.D. Beverly Hills, CA - Manhattan, NY

Answer: Personal problem with scar tissue and pain after labiaplasty demands a personal consultation There is no way to meaningfully answer your question without knowing more about you, your surgcal procedure, type of sutures used, present appearance, pain points, etc. etc. I suggest that you make an appointment with an experienced labiaplasty surgeon and revision specialist, either in-person or virtual. It is only in this way will you be able to decide what to do, and not to do, either surgically or non-surgically. Since you live in Belgium (?) I would suggest in Germany Dr. Gretz or Dr. Kuzlik or Dr. Serafin in Poland. Regards, Michael P Goodman, MD, FAOG, IF, AAACS. Revision Specialist.
