I am looking to get a breast augmentation however I am unsure of which option would be best for my specific needs. My ultimate goal of having this procedure is to improve my cleavage because my breasts seem too spaced apart and wide. I don't know which profile would be better for my given situation. Should I select low, moderate, moderate plus, or high. I went to a consultation and the doctor said high, do you feel this is a good option? I included a picture. 26Y/O 120lbs 5'2" I'm thinking 400cc

Answer: Cleavage A wider profile implant and larger size may achieve some cleavage in you. You have some elements of a tuberous breast. A implant placed over the muscle may be preferable with you. You may need a circumareolar reduction to improve you breast shape as well.I do tell patients that desire cleavage that cleavage while naked is somewhat uncommon naturally. Women usually need to wear garments to push the breasts together to achieve cleavage, so that the breasts have a natural shape.Best wishes for your surgery.

Answer: Cleavage after surgery Your question is a good one. Many patients ask about this. In general, there are several factors that limit the cleavage you can obtain. Among these is your underlying anatomy, which can only be evaluated with a physical examination by a a board certified plastic surgeon. Another factor is the dimensions of the implant that you choose. Again, this is something that is determined by a physical examination, so your best option is to see a board certified plastic surgeon to get answers to your questions.
