2016 - upper and lower jaw surgery and after surgery surgeon casually said “I also added a genioplasty”. Struggled with my new face mainly due to the lower third being out of proportion. I was told to just “keep my head up” when I expressed my conserns about the excess skin under my chin. Had under chin liposuction after that. Chin and jawline lipofilling to balance lower third with overall face (2018). I still have a triple chin when looking down. What are my options to looking better?

Answer: Consider your options for contouring your lower face I am sorry to hear you’ve been unsatisfied with the results of your previous procedures. To address submental fat, you may consider chin/neck liposuction. Another option is Kybella, which is an injectable that melts away fat to improve chin definition. HA dermal fillers may also be used to lift and contour areas of the face to improve facial balance. The best way to determine the right procedure or combination of procedures is to schedule an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can assess your treatment history, evaluate your facial features, and customize the best procedure plan that will achieve your desired results.

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Ptotic chin I'm sorry to read about your concerns and ongoing dissatisfaction with your appearance. Based on the information you provided, it seems that you have already undergone various procedures in an attempt to address the excess skin under your chin and improve the balance of your lower third. However, it appears that you are still experiencing concerns, particularly with a "triple chin" when looking down. If the excess fullness in the submental area (under the chin) is due to localized fat deposits, treatments like Kybella (injectable deoxycholic acid) or liposuction may be options to reduce the volume and improve the contour. Injectable fillers can also be used strategically to enhance the contours of the jawline and provide better definition. By adding volume to specific areas, such as the chin and jawline, a more balanced appearance may be achieved. It's crucial to have a comprehensive consultation with a qualified surgeon who can assess your unique situation, discuss your goals, and provide a detailed examination. They will consider factors such as your skin elasticity, muscle tone, and bone structure to recommend the most suitable options for you. I hope this helps, Best of luck !
