Is a water park okay at 6 weeks post op rhinoplasty?

Be sure to check with your surgeon regarding their recommendations. Personally, I would recommend that my patients wait another few weeks before proceeding with these types of activities because doing things like wearing a snorkeling mask, jumping in and out of water, etc are high risk for injuring the nose. The nasal bones and cartilages are usually well-healed by about six weeks after surgery, but I would not try to rush things.

hello thank you for your question and provided information as well..It is always good to consult with your plastic surgeon about the activities you can do and which ones you can not do.I understand that you should not have problems going to water park with that time but still discuss it with your doctor.

Hi, and thank you so much for your query. At six weeks post-op, you should be ok to visit a water park, but I would double-check with your surgeon as he knows you best. I would also advise that you quit smoking, not only because it is terrible for your health, but also because it does not allow the body to heal optimally following surgery.  It's always best to check with your operative surgeon about restriction of activities after the rhinoplasty procedure. In our practice, we ask patients not to have any contact sports for six weeks after rhinoplasty

6 weeks out, the bones and cartilage will be healed up enough to deal with anything you can do to it. You will likely still be swollen, but ok
