Fluid after Liposuction, will it leave on its own? (photos)

Ok, I went to the ER and had a CAT scan On my tummy and back just because. I wasn't in pain just wanted to check myself I was told bye the doctor I had air pockets and fluid in my tummy and that she not sure if I should still have fluid after a month and one week post op lipo but it's not fluid that we can see in other words it's not free fluid so I talk to my surgeon and he said that it will leave on its own is this true??

Post liposuction swelling and fluid can last for months.  there is no reason to get a CT scan and at this point you should be doing velashape/venus legacy RF treatments, lymphatic massage and hyperbaric oxygen with compression to help rid the swelling.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you very much for your question.I'm unsure if you are talking about small pockets of fluid or air (which are normal to have after liposuction and go away on their own, so if that is the case, then your surgeon is probably correct) or larger fluid pockets that may need drainage.  I would continue to follow with your surgeon and follow their recommendations.  Best of luck!

From the description I don't know whether you're talking about very small cavities of fluid created by the small spaces left by liposuction. These will resolve spontaneously. A large pocket of fluid should be aspirated however.
