Can you see/feel butt implant edges?

Question

After it’s healed 100% and inserted underneath the muscle, would my boyfriend would be able to feel it if he grabbed my butt? Can you also see the edges of the implants? If so, how can it be avoided?

Buttock implants of a reasonable size placed in an intramuscular position tends to produce the result with the fewest number of complications.   This approach tends to minimize palpability and visibility as well.  Butt implants do have the potential for rotation or to have portions or edges that are more prominent.  These can be exchanged or fat transfer methods can be employed to improve appearance. Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

The most crucial elements to a successful buttock implant surgery is A) selecting the right size and shape of implant and B) placing the implant within the gluteus maximus muscle. If both of these are done correctly, the patient will have a natural contoured and athletically fit and feeling buttock that can last a lifetime.  Like breast implants, the thickness and quality of your tissues (skin, fat, and muscle) will also play a role in how natural they look and feel. if your implants are the appropriate size, done correctly with an expert board certified plastic surgeon you should not be able to see the outline of the implant. Be sure to choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that specializes in such procedures.
