10 months post-op hair transplant - will I get more density? (photos)

Full results sometimes can be seen about 12 months and sometimes even later ,but vertex area usually needs more than one sesion in order to have a good coverage

Hello and thank you for your question. At this point, it's been longer than 10 months (your question was back in February) and I usually tell my patients to wait for 12-18 months for full results. That being said, I think you have pretty good results. The top of the head is a little more difficult to cover and could need another session. I dont think taht you will get more density ..
First regrowth should be observed on 3-3.5 months after surgery. Regrowing hair is thin, undersized and not bright untill 4-5 th months of hair transplant. İt's normal for new growing hair starting to get native characteristics, waviness, curl in first 6-7 months…This actually takes 10-13 months for hair to become full mature , as thick and bright as native hair.

I tell all of my patients to wait the full year after transplant before deciding how they feel about the results/density. I would tell you the same. I also warn people that the crown is a very difficult area to cover and eats up a ton of grafts. I try to manage expectations early that even with a great transplant it is unlikely that you will get results where NO scalp is visible, especially over the crown. Native hair of that density over a crown alone (which is likely 70 sq cm) would require greater than 2500 grafts just in the circle of the crown. Based on your after photo, you have a good result so far and if you want to improve the visual density after complete healing, might benefit from some SMP to the crown to reduce the contrast between hair and scalp.
