Dear kplay, Thanks for posting your abdominal pictures. From observing your pictures you appears to have abdominal skin and muscles laxity from the chest bone to the pubic bone and your posture is off. Your best option is full tummy tuck that will give you flat stomach, nice belly button, narrower waists and improved body posture. Most likely you will also lose significant amount of weight due to the abdominal muscles tightening that with reduce the amount of food that you can eat and your sense of hunger. A mini tummy tuck , in your case will be a very disappointing compromise as far as aesthetic outcome and you run the risk that when ever you eat, the food will create a bulge at your upper abdomen due to the muscles laxity in that area. If you are concerned about the scar, in your case the scar will not be much longer and it is a good trade off for an excellent aesthetic result with all the additional benefits mentioned above. Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, attractive, natural looking with low scar. Best of luck, Dr Widder widderplasticsurgery.com
Dear kplay2022,based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
An in person evaluation is always best but from the photos submitted it appears you may be a candidate for a mini tummy tuck with liposuction for contouring. This will only address the lower portion of the abdomen. The upper portion remains basically unchanged. I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation and to learn more about the options.
Hello. Thanks for your question and photos. By the pics, you are a candidate for Full Tummy Tuck with Liposuction and Fat Transfer to the buttocks. That will change your silhouette and make amazing results. That's your best option. Consult a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area for a physical exam. Good Luck!
You might do well with liposuction and minimally invasive skin tightening with radiofrequency like ThermiTight. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussing your options.
Great question. And thanks for nicely posed photos. You are borderline Full TT vs Abdominal lipo or 360 lipo. You might be left with irregular dented/wrinkled skin post lipo? But if you are understanding the risks you can try lipo 360 as first operation. fee $5,000. If you do not wish to chance the skin issues then full Tt and lipo waist& flans is the path to chise. Fee $8,500. Best to virtual consult with...
Choosing procedures should be based on a correct and accurate assessment or diagnosis. There are four variables that determine what someone’s abdomen looks like.An assessment needs to decipher which of the four variables is creating the problem and then apply the appropriate treatment. The four variables are skin laxity, excess subcutaneous fat, diastasis or muscle separation from previous pregnancies, and lastly excess visceral or intraabdominal fat.You can assess the impact of skin laxity by simply pulling the skin under tension by pulling it tight with both hands then looking in the mirror or have someone take a picture. To measure subcutaneous fat but the skin under gentle tension and with the tip of one finger gently push against the skin until you feel the underlying muscle wall. Your fat thickness around your mid abdomen is probably 1-1.5 inches. A straight muscle wall should be a beeline between your pubic bone and sternum. In the same manner you feel the muscle wall when assessing the subcutaneous fat you can determine yourself if your muscle wall creates a straight line between your pubic bone and sternum or if it bulges. if you have children or have had terminal pregnancies then you’ll have muscle separation. It’s simply a matter of degree and does the abdominal wall bulge or not.Visceral fat just like muscle separation causes the abdominal wall to bulge. To differentiate between visceral fat and muscle separation lay on your back and see if your abdomen goes completely flat. Another way to assess for visceral fat is to push the abdomen flat with one hand while standing. If it takes a fair amount of pressure to push it flat and doing so creates a feeling of fullness inside then visceral fat may be adding to the problem.Pregnancies cause muscle separation and skin laxity and both of these are best treated with a full tummy tuck. A mini tummy tuck will treat skin laxity of the lower abdomen only. most plastic surgeons will tell you that the number of patients who are good candidates for a mini tummy tuck is relatively few. for pregnancy related changes of full-time he talk is generally the better procedure.Nobody wants to have a tummy tuck.Nobody has to have a tummy tuck.In order to have a tight flat abdomen some people need a full tummy tuck.I suggest having multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons to get an accurate assessment and better understanding of treatment options. The results from this procedure are permanent and irreversible.Define the most talented and experienced surgeon I suggest that during consultations you ask the provider to show their entire collection before and after pictures of the procedure you’re interested in. seeing a small sample of pre-selected sample pictures which most likely represent the best results of the providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider. ask the provider to show as many before and after pictures as possible of patients with similar body characteristics to your own. an experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you an absolute minimum of 50 sets of before and after pictures of common procedures like a tummy tuck. highly experienced providers will have hundreds or even thousands of before and after pictures of this procedure.I’m looking at before and after pictures pay close attention to who gets the most natural looking belly buttons. getting a natural looking bellybutton is one of the hardest aspects of the procedure and surgeons who can consistently get natural looking belly buttons are usually talented, experienced, detail oriented and know how to do all aspects of the procedure.Other variables that indicate quality work are low sets cars that follow anatomic contours naturally. You should also ask to see results from all angles including what the patients look like from behind.A good plastic surgeon will take into consideration how each procedure will affect adjacent areas and take this into consideration when planning an operation. The result of a good tummy tuck should look good from all angles including from behind. The entire torso should look balanced and appropriate. In the end the choice of procedures often comes down to what each individual person is trying to achieve and what they’re willing to go through. Some people are not looking to have a major change and simply want a little bit of an effect. For those people liposuction may be appropriate even though subcutaneous fat isn’t the primary problem. For individuals who want a tight flat abdomen a full tummy tuck is the correct solution for pregnancy related changes.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD

Thank you for your inquiry! By your photos, it looks like you would be a great candidate for an abdominoplasty to get rid of any excess skin. The only difference in a mini vs a full abdominoplasty is how long the incision is. A mini tummy tuck is going to have a smaller incision than a full...
