My PS said it's possible I may need a vertical incision, but I told him I'd rather he gives me a longer horizontal incision to eliminate the excess skin and tissue. He will also be doing lipo to the flanks. Based on my photos, do I really need a vertical incision or will an extended tummy tuck be better for me? I honestly don't like the vertical incision, hard to hide, harder to heal. I'm 5'2" and currently at 57.8kgs. Please advise, thanks!

Answer: Incision issues Hello, thank you for your question and the pics. You are an excellent candidate for body contouring. First off, you don't need a vertical incision, a standard tummy tuck will suffice, although it will be a long scar, but it will be easily conciliable within your clothes. The tummy tuck will give you a flat tummy, it appears you have an umbilical hernia, that too will be repaired with the muscle repair done during the tummy tuck. Liposuction will give you a smooth curvy waistline, it will help you get rid of the fat in your lower back as well. You are bound for a great result.
