Thank you for your question. Each surgeon will have their own protocol they follow. I typically see my patients day after surgery, week, month and then start spacing it out 4-6 weeks from there. It's depending on the patient but that is normally how I do it for at least the first year. Best of luck to you.
Hello.Great question. The amount of follow up appointment are based on surgeon's preference. Every surgeon has their own post op protocols. I will suggest discussing this with your surgeon during your pre op visit.
Thank you for your question. For my patients having a breast lift, I recommend they have follow up appointments starting at 24 to 48 hours postop, one week postop, then at three weeks, six weeks, three months, and six months to one year post op. If my patient live out of town, I give the option of virtual and phone call follow up appointments. I recommend discussing specific follow up appointment questions with your plastic surgeon. I hope this helps!
Thank you for your question. Every surgeon has a different philosophy regarding follow up appointments. I typically see patients 1 week post op, at the 6 week mark, 4-6 month mark and 1 year post op to ensure the patient is healing well and satisfied with the final result. @yorkplasticsurger
Dear tablespoon2, Thank you for your question. I have all of my Mastopexy patients come in at 1 week, 3 weeks, 3 months, 1 year and as needed following surgery. However, each Board Certified Operating surgeon has his or her own specific recommendations. Best of luck to you!
Hello,Thank you for your question. Post-operative regimens can vary from one practice to another. Typically after a bilateral breast mastopexy, we see patients at around 2-3 weeks post, 2 months post, 6 months post, and 1 year post. If there are any issues or concerns, they would be seen more frequently. I hope this was helpful for you.All the best.
Every surgeon has a somewhat different postoperative regimen that they feel provides the best results. In our practice, we typically see breast lift patients in followup at one week, and again at two weeks. If the healing process is occurring normally at two weeks, then the next followup is at one month. Usually at one month patients may resume their normal activities without restriction, and wear underwire bras. We then follow them monthly for two more months until all the swelling has resolved. If a patient experiences problems with wound healing or other complications, they are usually seen weekly until the problem is resolved. Final follow up is at nine months or a year.
Post operative regimen will vary from physician to physician and procedure to procedure. In my practice, post mastopexy, patients will be seen on weeks, 1,2,4 and 6. This will be followed by long term visits as 3, 6 and 9 months. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).Donovan Rosas MDBoard Certified by the American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember: American Society for Aesthetic PlasticSurgery, American Society of Plastic SurgeonsRealSelf Verified MemberRealSelf Top 100RealSelfHall of Fame

Hello. Great question. Based on your question, it appears you have droopy breasts not deflated. However, it is difficult to properly evaluate your concerns without images and/or a personal examination. Please visit a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed surgical...
Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and...
It is definitely possible to perform a lift and augmentation at the same time, however there are some drawbacks, in particular, safety. The surgery involves trying to lift and tighten the breast, while at the same time adding an implant which puts an opposing pressure on the incisions which...
While you can to a degree tailor the lift to your desired results, the surgeon cannot accomplish any shape without choosing the right technique. I your situation, a Binelli (or circumareolar) lift would make things worse. The areola would stretch and the...
Hello. Great question. In a patient whose asthma is well managed or has not been symptomatic for a long period of time, the BL can be performed. Your board certified plastic surgeon may require a screening by a hematologist prior to scheduling your surgery, but having sickle cell...
The laser bra technique uses a laser to de-epithelize the skin and there is nothing unique about that. Most physicians use a dermabrader or scalpel and scissors to de-epithelize. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fu...
